Aromatherapy is a fantastic way to help aid your body to build muscle and lose fat. We all know that we need to eat a good diet and we need to drink plenty of water. We need to work out, run or jog every day to keep healthy but what about when our very own moods prevent us from doing what we need to do to stay healthy and strong?Aromatherapy

Utilizing the body’s natural reaction to scent is a great way to stay motivated. Our bodies and minds are interconnected and if they are out of alignment then we can suffer in more ways than just being unable to build muscle and lose fat. Motivation has to come from somewhere. You have to have a good strong foundation if you are going to undertake this sort of project.

Our emotions can trigger bad eating habits or depression so we have to understand some basics so that we can build muscle and lose fat. Inhaling aromatherapy oils isn’t going to make you magically lose weight or build muscle but what it’s going to do is that it’s going to stave off cravings and put you in a good mood to begin or finish off each work out. Your mood is super important as it can be a stumbling block to continue or even a stumbling block to begin at all. Starting to live a healthy life is really hard if you haven’t kept up on it for a while. Oils can help your mood so that you do have the motivation to continue on or to begin a new workout routine.

Oils like Peppermint, Grapefruit, Tangerine and Orange can help with cravings, but the citrus especially will help get you motivated and give you an energized feeling first thing in the morning. Oils like Yang Yang and Patchouli will help with stress and give a feeling over overall well being. Lavender and Bergamot will aid in relaxation and rest at the end of the day. Oils can be put into small necklaces that defuse the oils naturally throughout the day or you can carry with you small zipper baggies with cotton balls soaked in your favorite oils. Unzipping the pouches that have been clearly marked and taking a deep breath.

Food scents will help curb cravings while you are trying to build muscle and lose fat as well. Extracts like Vanilla, Banana, Chocolate and Coffee will all do fantastic at helping you ward off those cravings that might make you go off your diet. Imagine if you could just sent away your cravings for the food that’s bad for you. Or inhale a scent that would make you feel calm and at ease while you build muscle and lose fat? It’s just as easy as a trip to your neighborhood farmers market.

Lots of local health food stores and farmers markets sell essential oils and extract that will help you lose fat and gain muscle. So, on top of your normal workout routine and your strength training as well as a good cardio works out. Having a good diet plan that includes things like protein and fruits and vegetables you should also try adding aromatherapy to your plans. It will help you look great and feel great mind, body and soul.
